Removal

• Disconnect battery ground cable.
• Remove upper engine-to-transaxle bolts.
• Remove hydraulic clutch line bracket from transmission.
• Remove clutch slave cylinder.
• Disconnect both axle shafts from transaxle.
• Disconnect starter cables.
• Disconnect backup light wiring.
• Disconnect ground strap.
• Remove shift linkage.
• Remove front transmission mount.
• Remove lower transaxle-to-engine bolts.
• Separate transaxle from engine. Lower transaxle.

  NOTE: Support bottom of engine when removing transaxle.

Installation

• To install, reverse removal procedure.
